Microneedling - Rejuvapen
Corrects fine lines, wrinkles and improves skin texture!
How does Microneedling work?
Micro needling with Rejuvapen makes use of tiny needles to create micro-perforations in the skin. The process stimulates your skin's natural ability to heal itself and in the process produces new collagen and elastin to firm and tighten the treatment area. By using growth factors, serums, or PRP technology, we are able to speed up and enhance this process, creating better, longer-lasting results.
Is it painful?
The use of numbing cream over the treatment areas makes the procedure much more comfortable. The numbing cream should be applied one hour before treatment. After your procedure, Dr. Tapley will have you apply a nightly serum to further increase healing and rejuvenation of your skin.
Are there things I should avoid prior to treatment?
Use of tanning beds or unprotected sun exposure for 2 weeks
Medications containing Retinoid or Vitamin A derivatives for 1 week
Use of NSAIDS, such as Ibuprofen for 1 week
Use of Aspirin for 2 weeks
It is recommended to wait 2 weeks after Botox or Dysport treatment before the Réjuvapen Micro Needling can be done. We also recommend waiting 2 weeks after Filler Injectable before Réjuvapen is done to avoid an inflammatory reaction. If you have had an IPL Photo Facial it is recommended to wait 1 month between these treatments mentioned and the Micro Needling session for best results.
How many treatments do I need?
A series of 6 monthly treatments is recommended to give the skin a firmer more overall refreshed appearance.
Post Procedure Instructions
The first few days after treatment your skin will feel dry and tight. It may feel as you have a sunburn and some peeling or flaking of skin is normal.
