Hormone Optimization

Balance your hormones naturally

with Bio-identical Hormone Therapy

Hormone Imbalance

Did you know that a hormone imbalance could be causing your sleepless nights, fatigue, brain fog and other symptoms? Hormones balance the body's regulatory system interacting with specific cells and organs. Your hormone production changes as you age and that imbalance affects those cells and organs leaving you with a variety of side effects and symptoms.

If you are experiencing a variety of symptoms like depression/anxiety, weight gain and insomnia, and have taken medication after medication to treat those symptoms individually, then it's time to get your hormones checked. You may have a hormone imbalance and we can help with bio-identical pellet therapy.

We are proud to be a provider of BioTE® Bio-Identical Hormone Pellet Therapy for both women and men. This therapy can restore and balance your hormones, making a significant difference in your quality of life.

BioTE® is a safe and effective way to improve your health and sense of well-being with no known harmful side effects!

How BioTE works

What is pellet therapy?

BioTE® Hormone Therapy uses bio-identical hormone pellet therapy. The pellets are tiny (smaller than a grain of rice) custom-compounds that are derived from plants (not animals or synthetics). These compounds contain hormones identical to ones found in the human body which in turn produces fewer side effects than synthetic hormones. We custom create your dose based upon your personal blood work. Your lab results determine the exact quantity of the hormone you require. We then insert the pellets into the hip area. Once under the skin, your own circulation passes by the pellets and minuscule amounts of hormone are released daily, depending on blood flow through the area.  This mimics natural hormone release, unlike synthetic shots or oral hormone pills, which give you large doses at the beginning and then taper off, causing “withdrawal” type symptoms which will be similar to whatever symptoms you are experiencing now.

What is the procedure and does it hurt?

The tiny customized pellet is implanted into the fat over one of your hips. You receive numbing medicine, and then a tiny incision is made so the pellets can be placed.  The incision is so small that no stitches are needed and it heals in just a few days with routine care and keeping the area clean and dry.

How long do pellets last?

Pellets last between 3 and 6 months depending on you gender, weight, absorption rates and the amount of deficiency or surplus of hormones present at the time of administration. Pellets are reinserted between 2 and 4 times per year to help keep hormones optimized and balanced.

How soon will I see results?

Many patients report some symptom resolution in as little as 7 days . However, it may take up to 6 months for full optimization. We will customize your program to fit your specific needs. Remember, it took more than one to two weeks for your hormones to get out of balance, so expect it to take a little time to get rebalanced. We will monitor you every step of the way to ensure your hormone therapy is successful.

Are there side effects - can anyone use pellet therapy?

Once the pellets are implanted, they can not be removed, but side effects are rare and easily dealt with. Pellet therapy is NOT recommended for patients with active Prostate or Breast Cancer.
